‘Sustainability of the production is important’
“For us, the sustainability of the production is very important. Already since the 90’s we have been recycling our production waste: for example, we reuse our batt fiber waste for new batt layers. Most of the other press felt production side streams are recycled to polyamide granules, among others. Furthermore, we are constantly investigating and testing in our laboratory new, more sustainable yarns and other raw materials to be used in production,” says Tero Kokko.
Valmet mixes fossil fuels, waste, and biomass-based energy solutions to provide consumers with high-quality energy production. For better reliability and performance, the organisation offers a single point of accountability for project development delivery and services, including the entire project lifecycle.
