After 17 successful years leading the long-established Alfeld-based company Fagus-GreCon GmbH & Co. KG, Mr. Uwe Kahmann will step down as Managing Director on June 30, 2024, by mutual agreement with the shareholders.
During his 17-year tenure, Mr. Kahmann has made significant contributions to Fagus-GreCon’s growth, nearly tripling its turnover. Under his leadership, the company expanded its international presence and strengthened its market leadership in fire prevention and measuring technology. His trustworthy and cooperative personality has been instrumental in shaping Fagus-GreCon’s unique corporate culture.
With entrepreneurial foresight, he has propelled the introduction of technical innovations into international markets in recent years and actively supported several restructuring measures. These efforts have positioned Fagus-GreCon excellently, enabling the company to effectively pursue its further growth plans.
Uwe Kahmann: ‘I would like to thank the shareholders for the trust and support they have shown me. I would especially like to thank the more than 700 employees worldwide for their committed, team-orientated cooperation. It has been an honour and a pleasure to lead Fagus-GreCon successfully through challenging but mostly aspiring times over the past 17 years.’
Shareholder Ernst Greten commented: ‘Uwe deserves the unreserved recognition, special appreciation and thanks of all shareholders and the Shareholders’ Council for his great, loyal commitment. We are delighted that we have found an arrangement with Uwe where he will continue to be available in an advisory capacity if required.’
Effective July 1, 2024, Fagus-GreCon will transition to a two-person management team comprising Alexander Kuppe and Mario Haas. The expansion of both the first and second management levels will further support the company’s strategic growth, internationalization, and the strengthening of additional application areas.
