Swiss Krono successfully wrapped first ever online seminars. The format involves providing as much information as possible on current timber construction topics in between one and one-and-a-half hours.
The series kicked off on January 20, 2022 with a seminar devoted to showing how Swiss Krono OSB/3 sensitivimproves indoor air quality. The guest speaker was Torsten Rotheudt, the CEO of PAUSE Dachdecker – Maurer GmbH Zimmerei and Holzbau, who built a single-family detached home near Berlin while attaching great importance to excellent indoor air quality. For this reason, he chose to use the especially low-emission engineered wood product Swiss Krono OSB/3 sensitiv. This material is made almost entirely of resin-free Populus wood and therefore boasts extremely low VOC levels and is practically odourless. The second seminar dealt with the fascinating theme of fire protection. Guest speaker Reinhard Eberl-Pacan has specialised in preventive fire protection in multistorey timber construction. His fascinating talk went into detail on the new German timber construction guideline and provided valuable insights on how it works in practice. SWISS KRONO application technician Stefan Gottfried then presented OSB solutions for compliant construction. They include the flame-retardant Swiss Krono OSB/3 S-FB and the Swiss Krono MAGNUMBOARD® OSB solid timber construction system. Various system modules for walls and ceilings were also presented. We’re very happy about the large number of attendees, who watched the presentations with great interest and took advantage of the opportunity to ask questions. The next events are already in preparation. On March 3, for example, they talked with Sam Bohr about tiny houses made of Swiss Krono Magnumboard® OSB.
