Sodra building systems appoints new Head of Segment

Sodra Building Systems (SBS) has recruited Andreas Berge as the New Head of Segment.

Sodra Building Systems (SBS) has appointed Andreas Berge as the New Head of Segment. With an extensive expertise in the building materials sector and after serving as CCO for the Commercial Business Division of the flooring firm, he joins Sodra from Kahrs.

The arrival of Andreas to Sodra is eagerly anticipated, according to Catrin Gustavsson, President of Sodra Innovation. His vast expertise in project transactions and sales management, along with a contemporary leadership style consistent with Sodra ideals, will, in his opinion, enable the brand to continue growth of the segment’s business. Starting from November 1, Andreas will join in his new position and guide the management team as Head of the Sodra Building Systems segment, as well as the management team for the Innovation business area. Sodra has a stake in the expanding solid timber building market as part of its effort to lower carbon emissions in the construction industry. The company has continued to grow its portfolio and increase its production capacity since the beginning of CLT manufacturing in 2019 in order to keep up with market demand.

Andreas Berge held positions mostly in sales and marketing, as well as business development, at his previous company, Kahrs, where he was in charge of one of the company’s business areas. What attracted Andreas Berge to the respective position, according to him, is the organisation thriving to make a clear contribution to the continuous development of sustainable products. He has expressed his thoughts on how it will be fantastically exciting and motivating to be involved in pursuing that work.

One of the largest forest owners associations in Sweden, Sodra is a global organisation for the forest industry whose operations are dependent on the processing of its members’ forest raw materials.
