Janne Seilo has been named the new CEO of Siparila, set to begin his role on May 8, 2025. With a wealth of expertise and extensive experience in forest industry management, Seilo is well-equipped to drive Siparila’s international growth.

Seilo has extensive experience in management positions in the forest industry, covering a wide range of business areas, from export sales to order-supply chain management, sawmill management and wood procurement. He has a long and successful career in the UPM and Metsä groups, where he has held management positions and been part of the management team. Seilo holds a Master of Science in Agriculture and Forestry, MMM.

Seilo brings leadership expertise to Siparila, which is based on a listening, participatory and human-oriented way of working. His strength is in leading teams. Siparila has been a pioneer in developing a work culture that gives employees more power and responsibility. With Seilo’s expertise, Siparila aims to develop working methods in collaboration with personnel that guarantee competitiveness in the future.

Siparila’s growth story into today’s international company is thanks to the innovativeness and perseverance of its founder, Juha Sojakka. The construction industry’s plight in Finland and throughout Europe has tested the company in recent years. The corrective measures that this has caused have now been taken. “Over the past 12 months, there has been a noticeable recovery in the market and we have already achieved a clearly positive result for Siparila. It is good that the new CEO will continue,” says outgoing CEO Juha Sojakka. Sojakka will step down from the company’s operational duties, but will continue to play an important role on the boards of Siparila and its parent company, Thermory.

Seilo’s long career in the wood products industry brings valuable experience to Siparila. “Seilo’s understanding of the construction value chain strengthens Siparila’s ability to meet our customers’ needs,” says Siparila’s current CEO Juha Sojakka. The goal is also to further strengthen our cooperation with Siparila’s parent company, Thermory.

The management of Siparila and Thermory warmly welcomes Janne Seilo to the company, and looks forward to future cooperation and the development and growth of Siparila into an even stronger international player.
