 Tuesday, February 15, 2022

Siempelkamp looks back on a successful 2021 with an overwhelming record order intake of EUR 855.0 million. The Siempelkamp Group successfully exceeded the previous year’s order intake of EUR 552.7 million. The Siempelkamp Group, with its business areas of mechanical and plant engineering, casting technology and nuclear technology, recorded an extraordinarily good 2021 financial year and showed strength in the context of the general economic conditions. “The realignment we initiated in 2020 in the areas of sales, process organization and global manufacturing excellence has proven itself in all areas and bore fruit in 2021,” says Dr. Martin Stark, CEO of the Siempelkamp Group.

Siempelkamp positioned itself particularly successfully in its core market, the wood-based materials industry. Both long-term existing customers and new customers around the world opted for the complete system competence and the technological know-how. The group was also able to record numerous sales successes in the areas of competence of metal forming presses and composite presses. A total of 24 large systems were commissioned across all areas.

Siempelkamp’s core competence, which is recognised around the world, is to implement machines and systems as complete solutions that are precisely tailored to the customer. In the newly established production and development department in particular, cross-group innovation teams are dedicated to developing forward-looking solutions for the respective markets.

Within the wood-based materials industry, Siempelkamp continues to push the realignment of board production. Climate change and the scarcity of resources require solutions for the use of alternative raw materials. Depending on their local raw material supply and their market situation, wood-based material manufacturers can fall back on new, resource-saving processes. The company’s idea of innovation focuses on the fields of environmental technology and recycling.

A clear commitment to responsibility and the sustainable design of society and its industries will also be a focus of Siempelkamp’s corporate strategy in the 2022 financial year.
