With effect from January 01, Siempelkamp welcomed Dr. Melanie Bockemühl, an expert in digital technologies, to the Advisory Board of G. Siempelkamp GmbH & Co. KG. The company is thus anchoring its strategic, digital orientation in this body, as Dr. Melanie Bockemühl possesses extensive expertise as a digital strategist.
“Digitalisation plays a significant role in the future direction of the Siempelkamp Group. We therefore welcome Dr. Melanie Bockemühl as an advisor who will support us in consistently advancing our digitalization initiatives,” adds Martin Scherrer, CEO of the Siempelkamp Group.
As a Partner and Managing Director at Boston Consulting Group, she co-led the global Digital Economy initiative and drove the development of the digital business. Subsequently, as a Partner at Bain & Company, she set the tone in the EMEA Digital Practice Leadership team and oversaw digital transformation projects at numerous large companies.
She also held the position of Vice President & Partner Global Business Services at IBM. It is here that she was responsible for overseeing the area of digital agencies and digital consulting services. She was responsible for the global transformation program in Operations as Senior Vice President Strategy & Transformation at Diebold Nixdorf. This included the entire value chain from R&D, supply chain, production to service business.
Expressing his optimistic view Bertram Staudenmaier, Chairman of the Advisory Board of G. Siempelkamp GmbH & Co. KG said, “Developing and establishing digital solutions across all areas is crucial for the success of a company. We are delighted to have Dr. Melanie Bockemühl join us as a new advisory board member, guiding Siempelkamp’s digital strategy alignment with her comprehensive expertise.”
Siempelkamp is a global active technology supplier with a focus on three main divisions: machine and plant engineering, foundry technology, and engineering and services. Siempelkamp machine and plant engineering is a systems supplier of press lines and complete plants for the wood-based panel industry, the metal forming industry as well as the composite and rubber industry.
