Siempelkamp has been selected by S.Kijchai Enterprise Public Company Ltd., one of Southeast Asia’s leading wood-based panel producers, to supply a new MDF plant at the company’s headquarters in Rayong Province, Thailand. This marks S.Kijchai Enterprise’s third MDF plant, significantly increasing their production capacity.
The new plant, ordered in May 2024, will boost S.Kijchai Enterprise’s MDF production capacity to 500,000 m³ at its Rayong headquarters. With over 30 years of industrial experience, S.Kijchai Enterprise is a key player in the region’s wood-based panel industry, focusing on the production and distribution of MDF products.
Siempelkamp’s scope of supply includes a state-of-the-art forming and press line, featuring the advanced ContiRoll® system in an 8′ x 52.1 m format. This innovative technology is an evolution of the Generation 9i, first unveiled at LIGNA 2023. A key feature of the new plant will be the Adaptive Forming System, which enables self-adjusting mat weight distribution in both longitudinal and transverse directions, ensuring optimal production quality.
The forming line will also incorporate the EcoScan NEO fly system, developed in partnership with EWS, which provides crucial data for optimizing mat distribution. The control algorithms will continuously adjust the settings to ensure maximum efficiency and quality throughout the production process. The plant’s setup will be completed with an acceleration roller conveyor downstream of the triple diagonal saw.
Henning Gloede, Managing Director of Siempelkamp Pte.
