Siempelkamp

Siempelkamp, consisting of its teams of Siempelkamp Logistic and Service (SLS), Siempelkamp Machinery and Plant Engineering and the subsidiaries Buttner and Pallman, were all invited to a 2-day symposium in Turkey, Istanbul. The focus was on exchanging ideas with Turkish customers on the latest developments, trends and services. SLS Managing Director, Dr. Stephan Nigschmidt and the team of Sales and Service professionals in Istanbul presented thorough plans for the provision of spare parts and adaptable modernisation packages, that maximise the technology already present in the plant. With more than 35 active ContiRoll systems on the Turkish market, there is a lot of room for both parties to maintain a high level of performance in their partnership over time.

“Will enable wood-based material plant operators to realise undreamt-of advantages”

Prod-IQ software family presentation received a lot of positive feedback. Strategic cooperation with the young business SMARTECH and the launch of the jointly created AI-based solution Prod-IQ SmartPress marketing campaign were highlights in this regard. Data collecting and reporting have entered a new era thanks to Prod-IQ SmartPress. According to Dr. Stephan Nigschmidt, “This concept will enable the operators of wood-based material plants to realise undreamt-of advantages by tapping the potential in the data and thus further increasing the productivity of their plants with Prod-IQ · SmartPress.”

Ulrich Kaiser, Head of Technical Sales at Siempelkamp, energised the audience with his insights on new trends and products for the wood-based materials sector. For the Turkish market, the manufacture of OSB, advanced OSB, and insulating boards may be of special relevance in the future. Before the new year, Siempelkamp, a market pioneer in Turkey, will start up the first ContiRoll line for the manufacture of OSB. Ulrich Kaiser explains that OSB goods for the furniture business are now emerging as an appealing alternative to MDF and chipboard for the furniture industry, which are also highly preferred in the packaging industry and other sectors, in a rising market with a lot of construction activity.
