Angela Douglas – Executive Director of Scotland’s Finest Wood Awards is delighted to announce the registration is open for Scotland’s Finest Woods Awards. See all the details in their official website. This is one of the greatest awards in wood industry. The awards are given to those, who are the owner and able to manage a versatile wood which could be considered one of the finest in Scotland.
Entries to all four categories are encouraged and there is one for all aspects of the very best standards of woodland management across Scotland including:
• Quality timber at whole estate or compartment/stand/small wood scales
• New woodlands for both native and commercial
• Community woodlands
• Schools and pre-school projects related to trees, woodlands or forests.
The Scotland’s Finest Woods Awards programme rewards and showcases all that is best in Scotland’s forests and woods. In 2016 there is nearly £7,000 of prize money and striking trophies for winners.
Entries are encouraged before the year ends on 31st December 2015.
