SCM disclosed great success at the 2025 edition of LIGNA, welcoming thousands of business customers and visitors from more than 100 countries and making significant progress in terms of deals, contacts, and opportunities across several international markets, particularly in the DACH region, Northern and Eastern Europe, and North and South America. In addition to the total number of attendees (78,000), these findings demonstrate a vibrant sector that is receptive to new ideas despite worldwide macroeconomic difficulties.
SCM demonstrated the integration of technology, services, and digital innovation in its more than 3,300 square meter exhibition space, reinforcing its position as a strategic business partner at every level of the manufacturing process. The display in Hall 13 immediately conveyed a forward-thinking perspective that goes beyond machinery to provide integrated solutions intended to optimise process efficiency, improve product quality, and lower operating costs. Additionally, LIGNA offered a great networking opportunity, as 350 SCM specialists and over 100 dealers greeted guests with the friendly “Made in Italy” hospitality. The May 25 pre-show gathering at SCM’s displays was also well received by the commercial network.

Engineering, stand-alone, and other new solutions were on exhibit
SCM’s engineering solutions, especially the unique edge-banding invention from Tecno Logica, attracted a lot of interest. Particularly in the areas of solid wood processing, surface treatment, and timber building, stand-alone innovations also attracted a lot of interest.
“Despite the complexity of the global scenario, we came to LIGNA with tangible, high-value innovations for our customers,” opined Pietro Gheller, SCM Division Director. He also noted, “We invest 7% of our turnover in R&D and after-sales services, which have become the true key to supporting our customers’ business growth.”
The 50th anniversary of the trade show and SCM’s participation coincided with this year’s LIGNA, marking a significant milestone. This relationship, which has been going strong since 1972 and is eagerly anticipating the next edition, is fueled by creativity, cutting-edge technology, and a love of wood.
The organisers have confirmed that LIGNA 2027 will be held from May 10 to May 14. SCM would like to express its sincere gratitude to all of the attendees, team members, dealers, partners, and media that helped make LIGNA 2025 a success.
