The 28th edition of the international biennial of technologies for woodworking and components for the furniture industry, Xylexpo 2024 is already welcoming the visitors from May 21 to May 24. This time it has returned with new features to meet the needs of the constantly evolving market. The evolution is tangible in the SCM booth, which breaks the mould by rewriting the paradigms of woodworking, elevating the machine from a stand-alone product to a solution included in its customer’s production process, made up of needs, services and challenges linked to digitalisation and sustainability.
Indeed, SCM’s choice not to exhibit machines for the first time is also due to a sustainability issue, creating a digital narrative based on customer needs. Nine corners, each dedicated to specific processes – furniture and kitchens, construction, doors, windows, floors, surface treatment, nautical and caravan, carpentry – and infinite SCM solutions, without borders.
Thanks to SCM, that ones needs are all answered at the Xylexpo 2024. Everything that is presented as part of integral, complete automated processes, dedicates to each application field in the secondary wood processing sector. The fields that are opening scopes for discoveries are as follows- Digital Control Room, Live demo of integrated cells, Engineering, Technology software and Materials and technologies presented with interactive and multimedia systems.
For all these fields one will discover integrated state-of-the-art solutions for machines and plants, already adopted successfully by market leaders throughout Europe. One can learn how to make the processes more sustainable and efficient even in batch-1 production and how to achieve bespoke products with an, as ever, outstanding quality and level of design. One can also experience the concreate result of each machining, experiencing firsthand what it means to put ones trust in the most advanced Scm technologies for entire production processes.
At the heart of the stand is the transposition of SCM’s desire to partner with its customers: the Digital Control Room. Fully operative, our experts show the new proactive assistance services available for all machines connected to the Maestro connect IoT system.
Partner not only of the customer but also of the sector and its countries, as underlined by Luigi De Vito, General Manager Scm Group and President Eumabois in his speech during the grand opening ceremony opened by Enrico Aureli, Acimall President and Scm Group Vice President. Manufacturing is becoming increasingly important in terms of the global economy.
