Schreiner sicht introduces 3 D

 Monday, November 8, 2021

Schreiner sicht recently launches CAD+T that optimizes the process at the dubs ag joinery in Münsingen from the ground up. Before that, drawings were made in 2D and parts lists were then derived manually. As is still common practice in the industry. “We didn’t know 3D,” says Dominic Dubs.

With the new software solution, the process are  more streamlined, and chances of errors have reduced massively  also the data quality has been significantly increased. In addition, materials can now also be easily imported through an intelligent interface.

Dubs said: “The interface to our ERP Swiss-Soft. That everything can be read in as it was drawn, including the edge images”.

“The 3D views are a great enrichment for us!”

The successful implementation of the CAD + T software speaks for itself. Planning and construction drawings can now be created in 2D and 3D. In this way, customers can also be offered a 3D visualization. In addition, drawings can be made with significantly higher data security and quality, which allows even more complex and sophisticated designs.

“With CAD + T, the lean consistency is guaranteed!”

A decisive advantage is the automatic import of fittings in the construction. The user can create his own catalogs of preferred fittings and setups or choose from a large number of fittings from leading manufacturers such as Blum, Grass, Häfele, Hettich and many more. In addition, parts lists and hardware lists can be output directly from the construction.

Thanks to the optimal data preparation, production orders can also be assigned to partners and thus easily outsourced. Optionally, there is always the option of connecting a CNC machine and outputting the CAM data directly from the CAD + T construction module.
