Challenging times call for flexible solutions and a strong complete package. In other words: “One Source. Unlimited Solutions“, one of the surface specialists Schattdecor is currently focusing on the motto and, as a stable international partner, will be showing its vision of the future at Sicam 2022 from October 18 to 21, 2022.

In terms of design and product, new, sustainable solutions are coming into focus in an increasingly demanding market. Roland Auer, CEO: “As a global company, we are ready for the challenges that await us along the value and supply chain. We are surface specialists and work closely with our partners around the world to offer our customers a consistently successful overall package to start your product development.”

Environmentally friendly furniture surfaces are in demand

Fineflex is an environmentally friendly PET-based furniture surface. It consists of up to 80 percent recycled PET. Thanks to its own production cycle, waste is even fed back into production. And it is Made in Germany. Made in Oelde near Bielefeld. Together with Fine Decor, in which Schattdecor has a 50 percent stake in 2021, the block-coloured PET surfaces will be the colours of the stand. The current collection, launched in early summer 2022, contains 14 block colours.

Highlight decors for Sicam 2022

The world market leader is also focusing on new highlight decors: the stone decor Acapulco as a new development, the California Elm (last launched as part of the “Global Essentials” campaign) in a light colour, the new development Valencia Oak and the bestselling decor Omega Oak (also a Bestselling decor from the Decor Selection 2022) in an additional collection colour.

A new, more modern rusticity accompanies the designers to Italy in the form of the Karlstad Oak. This time in an even lighter colour and thus absolutely in line with the demand for naturalness. There are also a lot of innovations among the numerous developments. Decors such as Halong, Stone Pine, Calgary, Salvador Oak or Castello, to name just a few, are most promising.

In terms of design, the highlights and innovations are staged in multifunctional living spaces. Schattdecor is thus building on its trend concept for “Resilient Habitats”, which over the past two years (Launch Interzum 2021) has emerged as very forward-looking. Resilience is one of the buzzwords of our time. It conveys a high degree of flexibility, where living spaces have to adapt to the current situation. Surfaces with a matt look with anti-fingerprint and scratch resistance are in demand.
