SCA drafted and issued a base prospectus for the MTN program on May 8, 2018, and it will be revised yearly. As a result, SCA revised the base prospectus, which the Swedish Financial Supervisory Authority (Finansinspektionen) authorised today, June 25, 2025. The Swedish Financial Supervisory Authority’s and SCA’s websites will offer the most recent version of the basic prospectus. Hard copies are available at SCA’s Sundsvall headquarters.
In keeping with its sustainability plan and incorporating the latest industry standards and practices, SCA also released an updated Green Bond Framework. Following the publication of its initial Green Bond Framework in 2015, SCA has issued Green Bonds totaling SEK 3 billion as part of its sustainability strategy, which is intricately linked to SCA’s overarching business plan.
Examining the Green Bond Framework using its revised “Shades of Green” approach, S&P Global Ratings evaluated how well it adheres to the Green Bond Principles of the International Capital Market Association (ICMA). According to the 2021 framework, S&P Global Ratings has given SCA’s revised Green Bond Framework the highest “Dark Green” shade. SCA can help create a low-carbon society because of its special location and capabilities. Over 25% of Sweden’s total greenhouse gas emissions come from SCA’s forests and renewable products, which together produce a climate benefit equal to about 12.5 million tonnes of CO2 annually.
The following categories of eligible green projects and assets are covered by the amended framework:
Through the issuance of green bonds under this framework, SCA hopes to maintain an open and constant conversation with investors and other stakeholders regarding sustainability commitments and advancements. Regarding the modified framework’s structure, SEB served as the only advisor.
