Rehau recently bags three prestigious German Design Awards in the Furniture Solutions Division.
The Furniture Solutions Division of Rehau successfully wins three German Design Awards for excellence, creativity and innovation in key categories, Excellent Product Design, Excellent Communications Design.
The Raukantex eco and evo edgebands, a Rehau exquisite matt collection, and the printed brochure for surfaces receives one of the most prestigious German Design Awards. A prestigious international jury selects the winners of the German Design Award, founded by the German Design Council, once a year. Its goal is to encourage an economy that is design-driven.
Innovative and stunning matt collection from the Raukantex eco and evo edgebands as well as the Rehau’s printed brochure for surfaces wins recognition at the international platform. All these products impresses the jury of one of Germany’s most prestigious design prizes.
Rehau exquisite matt collection- Excellent Product Design winner
Rehau ’s matt collection wins the award in the category of ‘Excellent Product Design – Material and Surfaces.’ Matt surfaces, either uniform or mixed with high-quality contrasting materials, adds elegance to trendy living spaces. This impeccable collection enables the furniture and wood carpenters, designers, industrial partners to recreate interior with seamless designs with a dash of contemporary touch. Besides the appealing appearance, the material has a pleasing, velvety texture, soft touch, and anti-fingerprint technology. At the time of the winner announcement, there was an addition to the Rehau matt collection – Rauvisio noir.
Rehau Brochure for Surfaces- Excellent Communications Design winner
The printed brochures for surfaces surpassed others in the category of ‘Excellent Communications Design – Editorial.’
The Jury once again selected Rehau in this category of the award and honours surface brochure designing excellence.
Raukantex Eco and Evo- Excellent Product Design winner
Rehau preserves natural resources and encourages its users to do the same. The perfect testimony to the statement can be their Raukantex eco & evo edgeband products. This product innovation wins in the won an award in the category of ‘ Excellent Product Design – Eco Design.’
Raukantex eco consists of 50% post-industrial recycled material. The Raukantex evo is based on non-fossil primary raw material. This material doesn’t produce any additional demand for crude oil.

The Head of Product Management Furniture Systems and Components, Hans Peter Mehnert, on this happy occasion wraps up saidopining, “Awards like the German Design Award are a great acknowledgment and sign of appreciation for our new topics, whilst also, of course, being a huge compliment to the relevant team.” He further adds, “To have three winners this year in three different areas shows us that we are on the right track with our innovation strategy.”
