REHAU Window solutions redefines sustainability in the domestic environment. Home is where the heart is, and now with the latest upgradation from REHAU, the domestic environment becomes safer than ever. Its latest addition in the use of water-based lacquers for window profiles from April 2023 further advances its contribution in sustainability, and thus turns this world a better place to live in. Kaleido paint programme is now upgraded for producing water-based paints for its window profiles. Window professional’s are looking forward to the benefits and with this game changing innovation it is further advancing sustainable solutions. For example, the new lacquers are produced in a CO2-neutral way, are recyclable and “Cradle to Cradle” certified.

The processing of Kaleido Paint also takes various things into consideration. The coating system optimizes internal processing procedures, thus increases the potential efficiency. The paint can even cover any curved or angular element with ease. No extra coating of clear lacquer is necessary for UV protection as the new lacquer has a very robust and weather-resistant composition. This newly developed lacquer system gives the REHAU customers the option to apply the paint on third-party materials such as add-on parts, roller shutter or on other facade materials to render a durable and high-defined look.

Kaleido paint keeps up with the trends, focusing mainly on matte shades. It enables a new experience by designing smooth finish and textured lacquer in 150 colour shades according to RAL, DB and NCS. The new improvisation is to create a secure-long term basis for REHAU partners with regards to the stricter requirements of the European Union in future. Increasing market demand is a usual concern but this fresh conversion is also a step to protect the climate, as the new lacquers are recyclable and are produced in a CO2- neutral way, “Cradle to Cradle” certified. These lacquers are safer to use as they are low in VOCs and are food-safe. These have a high chemical resistance and are resistant to oils, acids, alcohols, cleansing agents and beverages. The addition of special anti-heat additives in the paint reduce the heating up of the surface in dark colour shades.
