Raute Corporation has reported changes in the group’s Executive Board. Mr. Marko Hjelt will step down from his position of Executive Vice President. Raute has announced that it is in mutual agreement with the company that Mr. Marko will retire from his position by the end of 2023. He has previously served as the Head of the unit in Lahti and Hämeenlinna.
Ms. Mia Könnilä interim chief people officer
Ms. Mia Könnilä, who has been working with the company since 2021, has been named the interim chief people officer and member of the executive board of Raute Corporation that took effect from December 19, 2022. She is currently in charge of the HR department for Raute Finland. The company has started a search for a Chief People Officer in connection with the previously announced organisational structure that will take effect on 1 January 2023.
“I want to thank Marko for the commitment and work in the Executive Board and the company over the past years and wish him best of success in the future. I warmly welcome Mia to join the Executive Board in her interim role”, says Mika Saariaho.
The President and CEO of Raute Group serves as the Chairman of the Executive Board, which also includes a variable number of other individuals chosen by the Board of Directors of Raute Corporation. The business strategy for the Group is developed by and implemented by the Executive Board. All significant operational matters are handled by the Executive Board, whose decisions are supported by the President and CEO. In their respective functional areas, the Executive Board members are in charge of running the business on a daily basis. The corporation’s current president and CEO is Mika Saariaho.
