Raute’s Board of Directors has sanctioned a merger plan under which the company’s wholly-owned subsidiary, Hiottu Oy, will be integrated into Raute Corporation. This merger is scheduled to be finalised by December 31, 2024.
Raute Corporation initially acquired 80 percent of Hiottu Oy’s shares in 2020 and completed the acquisition of the remaining 20 percent in 2023. Hiottu Oy has significantly contributed to Raute’s digitalization efforts, particularly in the areas of machine vision and AI solutions. The primary aim of this merger is to streamline the Group’s structure, thereby enhancing overall business efficiency.
“Hiottu has been a valuable partner of our Analyzers business unit for some time, and this merger is a natural progression for us. They are thrilled to now offer our customers even more robust software and machine vision solutions, thanks to the combined strengths of Raute and Hiottu experts,” says Markus Sirviö, EVP Analyzers of Raute.
