Pölkky Oy’s management team has recently been renewed and strengthened. Tero Dillström (M.Sc. Tech.) has started as Chief Technical Officer on June 13, 2022. Tero is responsible for leading the technical development team and implementing the company’s development and investment plan. Dr. Adm. Sc., Maria Virranniemi will start in her renewed position as Chief Strategy Officer. In addition to leading strategy work, she is responsible for the company’s marketing and communication function.
At the beginning of May 2022, Jaana Lyhykäinen started as HR Director at Pölkky. In her diverse role, Jaana will lead, coordinate, and implement the everyday HR function together with Pölkky’s competent team – not forgetting continuous improvement and development work.
Pölkky Oy is the largest private wood processing company in Northern Finland. The sawmills and further processing facilities run by Pölkky Oy are located in the heart of Finland’s best raw timber region, in Kuusamo, Taivalkoski and Kajaani. Pine represents 75% and spruce 25% of our production. Pölkky also has a pressure treatment facility in Oulu.
