Forests are essential to life on our planet, to mitigating and adapting to climate change, ensuring adequate supply of fresh water. But nowadays, forests are neglected and they face unprecedented and unrelenting pressures.
From September 7 to 11 will see the global forestry community, PEFC among them, gather together to discuss these very issues and to share ways of addressing them, at occasion of the 14th World Forestry Congress, hosted by the Republic of South Africa. they will discuss the potentiality and necessity of bio diversity and taking care of forest to save them.
Several members of the PEFC International team will be travelling down to Durban, South Africa, to take part in a range of panel discussions and side events.
