The fully automated Plywood Lay-up Line R7 from Raute follows the operator-set recipe and automatically feeds the sheets in the correct order for lay-up. It utilises intelligent analysers to optimise sheet alignment and veneer pairing allows feeding up to three sheets at once for maximum capacity.

The line features Raute’s one-sided liquid extruder (LEG) and curtain coating (CC) gluing methods, ensuring efficient and precise adhesive application. Gentle gripper veneer feeding options handle even the thinnest sheets without breakage, while one-sided gluing reduces glue consumption by up to 25% compared to traditional roller systems. Additionally, a vacuum box feeding option is available for cross-grain sheets, enhancing versatility and production efficiency.

The use of paired ply numbers in one-sided gluing enables using thicker sheets inside the structure, bringing savings in glue consumption through a reduced gluing need. An optional camera analysis for gluing control further optimises chemical use. MillSIGHTS data capturing and reporting system analyses production capacity and operation for you, suggesting optimal settings for maximum productivity.

“The first one-sided R7-Series lay-up lines were delivered over 20 years ago. Most of the world’s one-sided lay-up lines have been delivered by Raute. Utilise our expertise also for designing a tailored lay-up line for your specific needs!”Raute.

Key Benefits:

  • Capacity up to 15000 veneer sheets per 8h work shift
  • Only one operator needed
  • Save up to 25% in glue consumption
  • Fully automatic lay-up line operation for maximum
  • Raute always look for enabling better decisions and predictability
