Jowat wins Gold in Best Managed Companies Award

Jowat SE aced their role as one of the leading producers of adhesive by becoming Gold Standard winner of the Best Managed Companies Award in Düsseldorf on May 25, 2023. It’s been four years that they are being honoured with awards for exceptional businesses. However, this time they touched a new height by winning this award that is sponsored by Deloitte Private, the newspaper Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung and the Federation of German Industries (BDI). Ralf Nitschke (member of the Board of Directors at Jowat SE) expressed his overwhelming response on behalf of the company and said, “We are delighted to have been honored with the Best Managed Company title in 2023 again,”


Best Managed Companies (BMC) established in the 1990s by Deloitte in Canada has been successfully launched in more the 45 countries. The international orientation is one of the most unique characteristics of this well-acclaimed program. The Best Managed Companies (BMC) program is designed to build a national and global ecosystem comprising of exceptional managed private businesses, and this time the program chose Jowat to be the best managed company. Markus Seiz the head of the Best Managed Company program and director at Deloitte Private thus states that, “Best managed companies such as Jowat are a strong and central pillar of our economy. They drive innovation while also pursuing a corporate governance geared to long-term success. These powerful businesses have earned the award because they think in generations, not in quarters.”


Established since 1919, Jowat has been serving as an innovative leader especially in the field of sustainability, with their revolutionary products like “Jowat Green Adhesives” that supply a comprehensive portfolio of sustainable adhesives for most fields of application. The Jowat’s Board of Directors believes that the perfect combination of a responsible sourcing practices and supply chain with more resource-saving production processes paves the way for production of more sustainable products in near future. Rewards like these leave the company inspired, while Ralf Nitschke provides an insight into what the future will bring pointing out that, “By the year 2025, at least 80 percent of Jowat’s product innovations will meet our sustainability requirements—this is our goal. In that context, we will significantly increase the sales volume of our Green Adhesives, which today are already setting benchmarks in terms of occupational safety, resource conservation and consumer protection.”
