From October 14 to 17, Jowat Italia Srl will showcase innovative adhesive solutions that blend sustainability, efficiency, and top-tier processing quality at the international trade fair for furniture and interior finishing suppliers in Pordenone, Italy.

SICAM is a major platform for components, semifinished products, and accessories, drawing thousands of professionals and exhibitors from over 100 countries annually. The trade fair offers the perfect environment for networking, spotting industry trends, and promoting international collaboration.

In line with this year’s SICAM theme, “All Ideas for the Furniture of the Future,” the adhesive manufacturer will showcase its Green Adhesives portfolio, a comprehensive portfolio for environmentally responsible bonding. The product range focuses on four key aspects: use of renewable raw materials, resource efficiency, occupational safety and consumer safety.

For example, Jowat promotes the use of recycled materials and supplies adhesives with mass-balanced raw materials due to its ISCC PLUS certification. In the mass balance approach, renewable feedstocks are incorporated upstream in the manufacturing chain, and their proportion in the finished adhesive is determined through mathematical calculation. This process verifiably promotes the use of renewable raw materials without changing the technical characteristics of the product.

New products and highlights at SICAM:

Biobased adhesives: The new dispersion adhesive Jowacoll® GROW 125.00 introduced by Jowat provides a solution that is 30% biobased (in accordance with ISO 166204) and has been developed with a focus on convenient processing in furniture production. The PVAc dispersion adhesive thereby helps manufacturers enhance the sustainability of their manufacturing processes. “Jowacoll® GROW 125.00 demonstrates that environmentally friendly adhesives don’t require any compromises on quality,” underlines Maik Johanntoberens, product manager at Jowat.

“Our customers get a product that’s ecologically responsible and, at the same time, delivers the high bonding strength they expect.” The new surface glue is used for flat lamination with decor papers, veneers and pressure laminates, as well as in the production of lightweight furniture panels. Optimized rheological properties ensure a stable application and reliable roller processing characteristics. For processors, this means: They can meet their sustainability goals without sacrificing productivity or quality.

Perfect edgebanding: The tried and trusted adhesive Jowatherm® PUR 608.00 impresses with high resource efficiency and quality in edgebanding applications. Supplied also in granulate form, the adhesive is also available in convenient pull-ring cans for smaller woodworking businesses. The portfolio also supplies the powerful Jowatherm® PUR 608.10 for more demanding applications. Jowatherm® PUR 608.10 offers high hot tack and a fast cohesion build-up, ensuring reliable bonding results even in difficult climatic conditions, for example high ambient temperatures in production halls during the summer. The product’s reliable adhesion allows for immediate downline processing like milling or formatting—with no delays or loss in quality.

Jowat is inviting the interested visitor to have a look at the Hall 4, Booth C1 during SICAM 2025. This is the perfect chance to discover adhesive solutions that combine ecological responsibility with highest performance. The international Jowat team looks forward to meeting you in person at the trade fair, to develop fresh ideas for the future of furniture together.
