NEW ERA & IPCO

With nearly 600 workers in 25 countries, IPCO is an industrial process solutions firm that develops, produces, and maintains forward-thinking, high-performance processing equipment and steel belts, as well as having a significant aftermarket presence and local sales.
With two locations in New Jersey, USA, and over 100 workers, New Era is a company that designs and manufactures web-converting equipment. IPCO’s technological platform, which includes web handling, coating, laminating, embossing, and calendering equipment, increases its presence in important industries, particularly those that prioritise sustainability. It also enhances IPCO’s film casting and double-belt press offerings.

Through the acquisition, IPCO will be capable of offering a wide range of presses, film casting, and web handling solutions, thereby becoming a turnkey supplier of processing equipment. It anticipates accelerating New Era’s growth by utilising its robust sales, service, and support capabilities in 25 countries.

Robert Hermans, IPCO CEO, pointed out, “The acquisition of New Era is a perfect strategic fit with IPCO’s business ambitions. It enhances our core offerings and introduces new dimensions to our double belt press and film casting capabilities, giving us the ability to offer turnkey solutions to our customers. This synergy will allow us to provide comprehensive and efficient web handling and calendering solutions on a global scale.”

Paul Lembo, New Era EVP, expressed: “Joining IPCO is the natural next step in New Era’s evolution as we secure the long-term future of our solutions, team, and customers, and accelerate the growth of our business.”

Håkan Buskhe, IPCO Chairman and FAM CEO, outlined: “In line with our long-term ownership strategy and our passion for continued development and innovation, the acquisition of New Era will help future-proof our business and strengthen the goal of profitable and sustainable growth.”
