The 26th edition of the Intermob Fair, one of the most significant events for the furniture sub-industry and accessories sector in Eurasia, concluded successfully at the Tüyap Fair and Congress Centre on September 15. Running from September 12 to 15, 2024 , the fair attracted over 45,000 visitors from Europe, the Middle East, North Africa, and beyond, providing a dynamic platform for participants to explore innovations in furniture accessories, forest products, and upholstery materials.
Held in Büyükçekmece, Istanbul, the event featured more than 550 companies from 21 countries, showcasing cutting-edge products and technologies shaping the future of the industry. Organised by RX Tüyap in collaboration with the Furniture Accessory Manufacturers Association (MAKSDER), the fair offered both exhibitors and visitors a comprehensive experience, spanning a wide array of product categories, from furniture accessories to sustainable and innovative solutions.
International Presence and New Opportunities
RX Tüyap General Manager, Berkan Öner, in his opening remarks, highlighted the fair’s growing international significance. “This year, we hosted over 560 companies and welcomed participants from around 120 countries. Intermob has once again proven to be a key event for the sector, facilitating international collaborations and new market opportunities,” he said.
This year’s edition saw an increase in both exhibitors and international visitors, particularly from countries like Germany, Italy, Poland, and Romania, which are renowned as major furniture production hubs. With over 9,000 international visitors, the fair served as a crucial platform for Turkish companies to showcase their products and designs, further enhancing the country’s reputation within the global furniture sub-industry.
Innovative Technologies and Sustainable Solutions
The fair featured a broad range of exhibits, from forest products to advanced furniture chemicals, adhesives, and cutting-edge production materials. Many exhibitors also showcased innovative solutions that are paving the way for the industry’s future, including digital and automated technologies.
