HOMAG – the pioneer of establishing industry 4.0 in the woodworking industry has again bagged another award! For the overall solution “Apps and digital assistants for carpenters and joiners”, the HOMAG Group was honoured at the Allianz Industry 4.0 Award 2023 in the category “Pioneer in Industry and Research”.
Digitalisation and networking of furniture production or woodworking beyond company and national boundaries – this is the core of the “Industry 4.0 vision”. Continuous production according to the Industry 4.0 vision, along with all related benefits, is only possible with a comprehensive system analysis of the existing IT infrastructure and considering the specific challenges of the industry. And as ever, not all the systems that are already in use have to be replaced immediately and not all the systems that are considered viable for the future meet the necessary requirements.
The Industry 4.0 Alliance, a network initiated and funded by the Baden-Württemberg Ministry of Economic Affairs, specializes in outstanding Industry 4.0 individual solutions in the “Winner” category. With the winning title “Digitalization for carpenters and joiners: Apps and digital assistants”, HOMAG was able to convince and secure the Allianz Industry 4.0 Award in this category.
