FENSTERBAU FRONTALE 2024

In the diverse supporting programme featuring top speakers and key players from the industry, visitors can delve even deeper into new tools and technologies and add to their knowledge.

Following the one-off summer edition in 2022, HOLZ-HANDWERK and FENSTERBAU FRONTALE will continue their shared success story from March 19 to 22, 2024, when the combined trade fair returns to its usual schedule to reunite the international woodworking and wood processing sector and global players from the window, door and facade industry in Nuremberg. As always, one trade fair ticket grants entry to both events. As well as all the relevant trends in machine technology, equipment and supplies for the woodworking trade, participants will discover the latest developments and innovations in window, door and facade construction at the exhibitor stands and in the wide-ranging supporting programme.

At HOLZ-HANDWERK, around 320 registered exhibitors will once again showcase the entire range of supplies for the carpentry trade, covering the complete woodworking and wood processing supply chain. The products themselves can be tried out directly at the exhibition stands. In the diverse supporting programme featuring top speakers and key players from the industry, visitors can delve even deeper into new tools and technologies and add to their knowledge.

These are the highlights from the HOLZ-HANDWERK supporting programme:

This year, the special show by the Bavarian Carpentry Association (FSH) “DesignObjekt – ObjektDesign” (Hall 11.0) focuses on sustainable product design. Here, carpenters can learn first-hand about the approaches that have long since been adopted by the carpentry trade for sustainable product design and the opportunities this offers for the future.

The HOLZ-HANDWERK Campus (Hall 11.0) addresses the issues of support for the next generation of tradespeople and the shortage of skilled personnel. Here, various vocational training colleges and other advanced training establishments present their facilities and provide information about training and professional development opportunities in woodworking and wood processing for newcomers and seasoned professionals alike.

HOLZ-HANDWERK 2024

A novel approach to recruiting skilled personnel will be highlighted for the first time at the FENSTERBAU FRONTALE and HOLZ-HANDWERK JobMatch Stand (Hall 7), organised by recruitment platform mehrmacher in collaboration with NürnbergMesse. In line with the “reverse recruiting” approach, top employers from the industry present their companies and apply for skilled personnel. During live interviews with employees and managers, potential job applicants can gain personal insights into the respective companies. The job application process can then be completed on the spot in just a few clicks without the need for a resume. For employers, the JobMatch Stand offers a lot of added value, including presentations by experts on improving recruitment, retention and development of skilled personnel, as well as interesting career profiles and field reports from the industry.

Likewise in partnership with FENSTERBAU FRONTALE, the PRACTICAL GUIDE TO DIGITISATION Forum (Hall 7), which enjoyed an extremely successful premiere in 2002, will enter its next round. In a combination of TED-style talks, best practice reports, compact workshops and product presentations, the forum provides practical guidance on digitising operational processes and is specifically tailored to the needs of skilled trade businesses.

At the “Young Innovators”0 (Hall 7) pavilion subsidised by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action (BMWK), start-ups and young companies will present their innovative products to a professional audience.

These are the highlights from the FENSTERBAU FRONTALE supporting programme:

Visitors to HOLZ-HANDWERK can use their ticket to also visit all events in the FENSTERBAU FRONTALE supporting programme. In the FENSTERBAU FRONTALE FORUM (Hall 7A), high-calibre speakers will discuss the practical aspects of key topics like sustainability, ventilation, installation, and serial construction and renovation. At the special show “Climate-safe building” (Hall 1), organised by ift Rosenheim and NürnbergMesse, the spotlight will be on achieving CO2 efficiency and protection against climate extremes through sustainable windows, doors and facades. The topic of recycling will also be addressed. The 11th Architecture Window Facade Forum (NCC Ost) on the theme “Rebuild-able – Design・Durability・Resilience” with associated guided tours for architects, the MetallbauTREFF (Hall 5), the special display areas “Focus on internal doors” and “Taste of windays” (NCC Ost), the two awards ceremonies “Master Craftsman Award” (FENSTERBAU FRONTALE FORUM, Hall 7A) and “Window Manufacturer of the Year 2024” (FENSTERBAU FRONTALE FORUM, Hall 7A) are all a fitting complement to the extensive supporting programme.
