Hexagon’s Asset Lifecycle Intelligence (ALI) division has announced the acquisition of CAD Service, a leading developer of advanced visualization tools. The acquisition strengthens Hexagon’s Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) solutions by integrating CAD Service’s expertise in computer-aided design (CAD) drawings, Building Information Modeling (BIM), and Reality Capture data into HxGN EAM, Hexagon’s flagship asset management platform.
CAD Service has been a trusted partner of Hexagon since 2013, with its flagship product, OpenCAD, already used by approximately 50% of Hexagon’s EAM SaaS customers. By fully integrating CAD Service’s technology, Hexagon aims to accelerate its development roadmap and offer enhanced visualization capabilities for industries like manufacturing, energy, and transportation.

CAD Service, based in Parma, Italy, brings a team of nine highly skilled employees to Hexagon’s ALI division. Effective immediately, CAD Service will operate under Hexagon’s umbrella, ensuring seamless integration of its tools and expertise.
