Heesemann, a subsidiary of Homag, has unveiled the JSM, a cost-effective all-round sanding machine designed to meet the needs of craftsmen who require high-quality surface finishing. Positioned to complement the SWT-100 and HSM Compact sanding machines in the entry-level segment, the JSM is tailored to offer smaller companies the opportunity for high-end surface processing without breaking the budget.
The JSM model stands out as an affordable solution for small and medium-sized workshops that demand top-tier surface quality. It is available in two sanding widths and three distinct equipment packages, making it versatile enough to meet a wide range of processing needs.
Customizable for Multiple Applications
The JSM can be configured as a one, two, or three-belt machine, with working widths of 1100 and 1350 millimeters. These configurations are particularly suited for solid wood, veneer, and lacquered surface processing, offering a solution for the production of kitchen, office, and solid wood furniture, as well as panels. Heesemann highlights that the JSM excels in calibration, fine sanding of solid wood, sanding of veneers, intermediate sanding of lacquers, and panel cleaning.
Comprehensive Standard Equipment
Even in its standard form, the JSM is equipped with an impressive range of features. This includes a stepless feed speed ranging from three to twelve meters per minute, viewing windows in the belt change doors, a table extension with integrated rollers, and a variable working height for ease of operation. The machine also boasts a 15.6-inch touch display, interior machine lighting, and a slide control for the extraction system. Its plane-parallel table ensures precise dimensioning for workpieces with thicknesses ranging from three to 160 millimeters.
Enhanced Customization with Special Equipment
For those seeking further capabilities, the JSM can be configured with additional special equipment based on the chosen package. Options such as a table with a vacuum blower facilitate the processing of small or smooth-surfaced workpieces, while workpiece cleaning at the outfeed can also be integrated.
Performance and Advanced Packages for Extended Options
The JSM’s Performance and Advanced packages offer even greater customization. Depending on the chosen package, features such as a maintenance-free CSD magnetic pressure beam system for adaptable sanding, motors with frequency converters for infinitely variable sanding belt speed, oscillating sanding belt sanding, and the Belt Manager software are available. All JSM machines are remote-capable, allowing for rapid service via the hotline, regardless of location.
