Hasslacher Norica Timber has again proved their power to innovate newest industrial solutions. Self-service box, “teo” is one of the another game changers from this Hasslacher. The self-service store “teo” by tegut operates 24 hours a day, providing over 950 everyday essentials. Beyond shopping, teo serves as a rest area and features amenities like bicycle parking with a pump and tools, a dog station, and a book exchange shelf. Selected locations also include a DHL station or an e-bike charging station. The store’s roof is adorned with wildflowers, herbs, and grasses, creating a habitat for insects and ground-nesting birds.

Originally, the modules were planned with a plywood construction. However, the Hasslacher group succeeded in revising the construction and statics accordingly, primarily using solid wood products from the Hasslacher group. The self-service boxes are now manufactured with Hasslacher glued laminated timber, which is specially shaped as a rigid frame corner using a general finger joint. Cross laminated timber serves both as a space-forming and bracing element.

Of the 20 teos being produced by the Hasslacher group, eight have already been delivered to their target location succesfully. Switzerland is also showing great interest in the new modular constructed boxes.

The products that have been used in making amazing creation are: cross laminated timber, glued laminated timber.
