For the new public bus station in Szprotawa, HASSLACHER group supplied glued laminated timber components produced at the Magdeburg site (NORDLAM GmbH) for a complex roof structure made of glulam, executed by the Polish company “BSHaus”. The project combines modern architecture with sustainable building materials and precisely engineered timber solutions.
The roof structure consists of glued laminated timber beams with a width of 240 mm and a height of 640 mm, as well as secondary beams measuring 120/640 mm, complemented by parapet beams. All components were manufactured from glued laminated timber in strength classes GL30c and GL24c in accordance with EN 14080, CNC-machined and prefabricated with high dimensional accuracy and precision.
The engineered timber structure comprises a total of 16 nodes and required more than 85 m³ of glued laminated timber as well as a large number of structurally relevant connectors.
