International technology group ANDRITZ has been selected to supply a new high-capacity chemi-mechanical pulp production line to Zhanjiang China Paper Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of Guangdong Guanhao High-Tech Co., Ltd., located in Guangdong Province, China. This new line will address the company’s chemi-mechanical pulp supply needs, significantly reducing Guangdong Guanhao High-Tech Co., Ltd.’s reliance on external market pulp sources.
Zhao Guohong, Deputy General Manager of Guangdong Guanhao and Chief Project Director of Zhanjiang China Paper, says: “Our dependence on market chemi-mechanical pulp has led to certain limitations in our high-end white cardboard production. The new line from ANDRITZ will enable us to produce our own pulp, reducing raw material risks and enhancing competitiveness.”

The new P-RC APMP (Pre-Conditioning Refiner Chemical Alkaline Peroxide Mechanical Pulp) line, with an annual capacity of 400,000 tons, will produce high-quality pulp for premium white cardboard. ANDRITZ will supply the complete line, including systems for wood chip washing, impregnation, high-consistency refining, bleaching, washing, low-consistency refining, screening, and rejects treatment. ANDRITZ will also provide the installation supervision, commissioning, start-up, and training.
The line combines high-quality pulp production with minimal energy consumption and environmental impact based on the following key equipment:
Guangdong Guanhao High-Tech Co., Ltd., the parent company of Zhanjiang China Paper Co., Ltd., is a leading Chinese producer of specialty papers, including white cardboard, carbonless copy paper, and thermal paper. The new project further strengthens ANDRITZ’s long-standing partnership with Guangdong Guanhao High-Tech’s parent company, China Paper Investment Co., Ltd., a prominent player in China’s paper industry. This collaboration dates back to 1995, when the first ANDRITZ mechanical pulp line was commissioned for the group. Since then, ANDRITZ has supplied seven chemi-mechanical pulp lines to China Paper subsidiaries, consistently prioritising high-quality production with minimal environmental impact.
