Giardina Group was present at Xylexpo 2024 to showcase their best ever innovations. This year, along with the Xylexpo, the company followed a motto of long-standing participation that confirms the Italian Group’s desire to maintain a constant focus on the “Local market”, which is undoubtedly the target audience for the Milanese showcase.
“Although more than 90% of our production is exported, Italian companies requiring a quality finish have always been our main partners, not only as customers, but also and above all as partners with whom we can develop new technologies that will then be introduced to the rest of the world” commented Stefano
Mauri, owner of the Giardina Group together with his brother Riccardo Mauri.
The leading Group in the finishing sector has once again enlivened its stand (Hall 01, Stand D05) with a series of “Live demos” created in co-operation with a number of paint manufacturers.
On May 21, technologies “made in Giardina Group” have applied products from Sirca (www.sirca.it), on 22nd May they were from Icro Coatings on May 23 from Ica and on May 24 from Renner Italia.
In the spotlight of the exibition, visitors were able to find the well-established “Rolltech Flexi”, a roller coater created during four years of extensive researcg and testing that have resuted in the development of an extremely sturdy and versatile solution, capable of responding to market needs with a series of innovative technical solutions that have resulted in its patent.
A machine designed and built to apply UV and conventional primers on 3D surfaces, but which has also proved to be an excellent solution for the application of special coating cycles on flat surfaces.
At Xylexpo, the “Dualtech 400” was prominently featured—an automatic spraying machine equipped with two reciprocating arms and a paper belt, showcasing the Group’s extensive expertise and comprehensive solutions in the coating industry segment.
For edge and profile sanding, the Group introduced the Destefani “Mvt 3000” edge sander, which has been gaining significant popularity due to its capability to meet precise user requirements.
The Giardina Group’s stand also had room for the important question of drying: in addition to the “Uvtech GST” oven, a new UV LED oven has been presented, which is based on technology that the Group is developing and which hasn’t failed to attract the attention of industry professionals both at the trade fair and, more importantly, over the next few years.
As we all know, the efforts to reduce mercury lamps are shifting manufacturers’ attention to other energy sources, and in these applications too, LED lamps can be an excellent solution, with enormous potential for development and innovation that – by stimulating LED manufacturers to achieve adequate emissions – will allow them to completely supplant current technologies at every stage of the coating process.
A busy week for Giardina in Xylexpo
The days in Milan were extremely busy, both at the fair and beyond. Visitors eager to delve deeper into specific topics or explore the full range of technologies in the Giardina Group catalogue could visit the “Giampiero Mauri Innovation Centre” in Novedrate, just a few kilometres from FieraMilano-Rho. There, they could experience a variety of coating solutions—including curtain, roller, and spray applications—designed to meet any quality and production requirements. Additionally, they could witness specialised spray coating trials featuring the “Zerogloss” excimer technology, which achieves total opaqueness and
enhances resistance to scratches, wear, and marks on both flat and 3D panels.
