“New faces, new energy — welcome to Firefly!”
Firefly is happy to share that they have designated new members to their existing roles. They have shared their experiences, what they will be working with at Firefly, and discover what they about to bring changes within the company.
Andreas Norelius
Prior to my employment at Firefly I was working as a consultant in my own company. In that role I was supporting customers with electronic design work. Firefly was one of my customers that I really liked working with. Since a couple of months, I work fulltime with electronic design at Firefly as a part of our devoted development team. My working days are split between computer-based electronic design and working in the lab, building and verifying our electronics. In my free time, I enjoy being outdoors with my two dogs, whether it’s hiking, running, or mountain biking.

Before Firefly I worked at a company called W-M Alitea, they manufacture peristaltic pumps that are used in different medical machines. Fun fact is that they are stationed in the same building as Firefly, one floor above, so the change in workplace wasn’t that big for me. I will work as a Design Engineer at R&D. I will work with development and maintenance of our products. In my spare time I like to play games of all sorts and spend time with family and friends. I’ve also started to play football again and have joined Firefly FC, we recently got our first win!
Joakim Hinas
I previously worked at Trimble in Danderyd for 30 years, a company that produces total stations used for measuring distances and angles in construction projects. During my time there, I was involved in a wide range of technical tasks related to production. Currently, I work as a Production Engineer, supporting manufacturing operations by ensuring the necessary equipment and systems are in place to meet our delivery targets and quality standards. In the summer, I enjoy kayaking in the archipelago—preferably with a sauna nearby. In the winter, I like to go downhill skiing or take long-distance ice-skating trips on clear, smooth ice.
Firefly is an international fire protection company that has been helping industrial operations protect their processes from costly damage and downtime due to fires and dust explosions since 1973.
Firefly’s systems react rapidly. Dangerous particles in a process flow can be detected and extinguished within milliseconds, before a fire or a dust explosion builds. Their detectors can find hot particles before these even start to glow. Even, the Quick Suppression System detects and extinguish flames in open areas and around machinery, at the earliest stage of an outbreak.
All components in the systems are optimized for rapid reaction, stopping fire and sources of ignition from developing. Prioritising rapid reaction in all component parts is what makes Firefly’s systems the fastest in the market.
