Alejandro Roda is the new FIMMA Maderalia director. Alejandro Roda took over as the new director of FIMMA Maderalia in January. The next edition of the international biennial specialising in materials, technology and components for furniture, interior design and contract projects takes place in 2024 at Feria Valencia.
Roda replaces the career head of FIMMA Maderalia, Miguel Bixquert, who is taking a well-deserved break from work after 30 years of service at Feria Valencia. Coincidentally, Roda is no stranger to the industry as he was sales director for FIMMA Maderalia, alongside Bixquert, at an earlier stage in his career.
At 47 years of age, Alejandro Roda has extensive, successful experience heading up a range of events and projects at Feria Valencia. With a Bachelor’s in Business Studies from UNED and a degree in Company Administration and Management from the Universitat de València, Roda also gained a Business Management degree at Scotland’s Abertay University and an Executive MBA at ESIC.
Heading up Gastrónoma and Eurobrico as well
With a career at Feria Valencia spanning more than 20 years, FIMMA Maderalia’s new director has also been at the helm of several events that are of particular social and business significance. These include finance and insurance forum Forinvest, which he promoted and consolidated from its initial edition, and trade fairs Mediterránea Gastrónoma and Eurobrico, which he is still involved with and that he will be steering alongside his directorship FIMMA Maderalia.
FIMMA Maderalia is the International Fair for Materials, Technology and Components for the Furniture, Interior Design and Contract Projects sectors, which will be staging its 40th edition in 2024, at Feria Valencia. The last edition of the fair showcased the offering of 396 direct exhibitors, with 844 companies and brands represented. 35,942 industry professionals attended from 60 countries – a 10% increase over the previous edition.
