The dates for the next edition of FIMMA + Maderalia have been officially confirmed. Following the conclusion of a highly successful 40th-anniversary edition, the Organizing Committees, in collaboration with Feria Valencia and industry stakeholders, have set the dates for the next event. The forthcoming FIMMA + Maderalia will take place from Tuesday, November 10, to Friday, November 13, 2026, marking a return to its traditional schedule in the final quarter of the year.
This decision is underscored by significant updates. As the premier event for materials, technology, and components in furniture, carpentry, interior design, and contract projects, the shift back to November positions FIMMA + Maderalia as a crucial fixture on the global fair calendar for the sector. This timing allows for greater participation from international companies and operators, which was previously constrained by the crowded schedule of the first half of the year.
The consensus among the Organizing Committees, Feria Valencia, and sector companies has set the stage for FIMMA + Maderalia’s exponential growth. Following the remarkable outcomes of the latest edition, future iterations of the biennial event aim to expand both the scope of offerings and the exhibition space. Returning to the November dates enables the event to meet this increasing demand more effectively.
Furthermore, hosting the event in the latter part of the year provides strategic advantages for attendees. Buyers are afforded the opportunity to make informed investment decisions for the upcoming year, particularly relevant for the machinery and technology sectors. This scheduling also grants the wood and materials supply industry ample time to prepare and present new innovations without clashing with peak production and order fulfillment periods.
In essence, the rescheduling to November reinforces FIMMA + Maderalia’s status as a pivotal international event in the latter half of the year, fostering increased international participation and aligning with the strategic planning cycles of key industry players.
Visitors will also enjoy a more comfortable stay in Valencia during the event, as the hotel availability is less pressured compared to the busy summer season. This allows attendees to extend their visits for two or three days at what is anticipated to be a large and diverse fair in terms of offerings and exhibition space. Additionally, holding the event in November makes it more accessible for international buyers, including professionals from Islamic countries, as it avoids coinciding with the Ramadan period.
Returning to Traditional Dates
This decision marks the end of a historical cycle for FIMMA + Maderalia, which will celebrate its 41st edition next time. Originally held in the last quarter of the year, the event had shifted to the early months in previous years. The 35th edition in October 2011 was the last to be held in the final quarter.
The subsequent edition faced a challenging economic climate and was postponed to 2014, aligning with the global initiative ‘See You in Valencia’ from February 11 to 14, alongside Cevisama and Feria Hábitat. This format was repeated in 2016 and 2018, the latter exclusively with the tile and bathroom event.
After disruptions due to COVID-19, FIMMA + Maderalia returned independently in 2022 (March 29 to April 1) and in 2024 (May 14 to 17). Following these successful editions, the event is now poised to return to its traditional dates.
