Festool launches realistic woodworking toys for children aged 3 and up

In a move that blends quality, style, and hands-on learning, Festool has introduced two new woodworking toys designed to let young children explore the world of carpentry. Since September 2024, children aged three and older can experience Festool’s craftsmanship with two faithful toy replicas: the TY-TSC cordless plunge saw and the TY-TPC cordless drill driver.

These new toys are modeled after Festool’s popular adult tools—the TSC 55 cordless plunge-cut saw and the TPC cordless drill driver—allowing children to engage in creative play with realistic, functional replicas. Following growing demand, Festool has crafted these toys to provide an authentic woodworking experience, complete with exciting features and safe designs.

Realistic Features for Interactive Play

Festool’s children’s plunge saw allows young woodworkers to simulate real sawing with key features like plunging into a workpiece, a functional saw blade change, adjustable cutting depth, and working lights. Meanwhile, the cordless drill driver offers child-friendly drilling and screwdriving functions with both clockwise and counterclockwise rotation. Kids can even change drill bits using the CENTROTEC interface, just like the real tool.

To enhance the authentic play experience, both toys feature realistic sound effects that mimic the noises of actual woodworking tools. Understanding that the excitement of the tools might not be shared by all family members, Festool has included a volume control that allows parents to adjust or completely mute the sound.

Practical and Child-Friendly Design

The toys are powered by a removable battery that can be conveniently charged via USB-C, adding a modern touch to these traditional playthings. These design elements ensure that children not only enjoy safe play but also experience a realistic introduction to woodworking.

Limited Edition Release for the Holiday Season

Festool fans looking to surprise their little ones this holiday season should act fast—these toy tools are part of a first-edition limited release. As demand grows, they may sell out quickly, making them a hot item for woodworking enthusiasts and their families.

For parents and relatives looking to inspire the next generation of craftsmen, Festool’s children’s tools offer an exciting, educational way to bring the workshop experience to life in a child-friendly form.
