The recently concluded Feria Hábitat València and Textilhogar 2025 marked one of the most successful editions in their history, despite a one-day reduction in the fair’s schedule and the absence of the biennial Espacio Cocina SICI. The fair attracted over 40,000 visitors, slightly surpassing the attendance numbers from the previous year, even with the challenges posed by an unforeseen weather alert and the loss of key exhibitors. This achievement has been hailed as a testament to the resilience and dedication of the organizing teams and exhibitors alike.

The event, which was delayed by a day due to adverse weather conditions, ran over three days instead of the usual four. Despite the reduced timeframe, the fair achieved remarkable visitor turnout. Both domestic and international buyers flooded the event, highlighting the fair’s appeal and the critical role it plays in the global furniture sector. According to the organizers, the attendance figures were in line with last year’s, proving that the reduced days did not deter professionals from attending.

Vicente Pons, president of the Hábitat Organizing Committee, emphasized the fairness’ success in overcoming the challenges posed by the weather delay. “It was a resounding success,” he commented, praising the agility with which the team adjusted event schedules and restructured conferences and presentations to keep commitments with exhibitors. The business performance of exhibitors was notably strong, signaling a healthy marketplace driven by the demand for high-quality furniture and design innovation.

José Ramón Revert, president of Textilhogar, echoed this sentiment, stressing that the synergy between Feria Hábitat València and Textilhogar had once again proven to be a vital force in bringing both local and international buyers together. The collaboration between the two events is proving increasingly essential, creating an expansive platform for industry professionals to network, collaborate, and exchange ideas.

This year’s edition also holds special significance for Valencia’s furniture industry, as it served as a tribute to the resilience following the devastation caused by last year’s DANA storm. In a symbolic act of solidarity, the fair featured an exhibition in collaboration with Temasdos, recognizing the perseverance of the local industry. A poignant addition to this year’s fair was an exhibition by Hector Serrano, a National Design Award winner, who presented “Raíces,” a collection of lamps created from wood debris salvaged after the storm. The collection showcased not only the creativity of the designer but also Valencia’s strong commitment to sustainability.

The contract sector took center stage on the final day with the Hotel & Contract Professional Day, which focused on the intersection of sustainability and design in hotel and contract spaces. The sector has seen growing interest as sustainability and wellness become integral components in modern hospitality designs. Key speakers in the session, including renowned architects such as Pedro García (Vivood) and Joan Baptista Boronat (Arqueha), discussed the emerging trends in hotel design, including eco-friendly materials, customizable designs, and integrating technology in ways that enhance the guest experience while maintaining environmental responsibility.

A highlight of the session was the roundtable discussion focusing on craftsmanship, interior design, and guest experience, featuring leaders from prominent firms like Finsa, Kave Home, and Rusticae. These discussions offered insights into the critical role that high-quality craftsmanship and sustainability play in transforming hotel and contract spaces into immersive, eco-conscious environments.

Additionally, AIDIMME, ITC, and AITEX, three technological institutes, presented trends in habitat and design, while Cosentino and Actiu highlighted the growing importance of sustainable manufacturing practices. The collaboration among these institutes and leading industry players reflects the increasing push for innovation, responsible design, and integration of cutting-edge technology in creating spaces that are both functional and environmentally conscious.

The fair’s success is also due to the increasing importance of trends such as conscious luxury, wellness, and “invisible technology,” which are rapidly reshaping the furniture and contract sectors. Sustainability in hotel and office furniture design is becoming the focal point, with manufacturers and designers exploring new materials, energy-efficient solutions, and technologies that improve both the user experience and the environmental footprint of products.

As the furniture and design industry continues to evolve, the success of Feria Hábitat València and Textilhogar 2025 underscores the growing demand for innovation, sustainability, and collaboration across the sector. The fair has proven itself as a critical event that not only drives business growth but also fosters meaningful conversations around the future of design, architecture, and sustainability.

Moving forward, both Feria Hábitat València and Textilhogar are poised to continue leading the charge in creating dynamic spaces that address the evolving needs of both consumers and industry professionals, ensuring that the Valencia furniture market remains a vital force on the global stage.
