Woodworking professionals from North America and beyond will converge in Atlanta this August to discover the latest innovations, explore new color and finish trends, and receive expert guidance from AkzoNobel Wood Coatings and Chemcraft at the International Woodworking Fair (IWF).

Held from August 6-9 at the Georgia World Congress Center, IWF is a must-attend event for the global woodworking industry, offering an extensive array of processes, technologies, products, machines, and raw materials all in one place. Throughout the event, specialists from AkzoNobel Wood Coatings and Chemcraft will be at booth #C1562, sharing valuable insights, showcasing the latest coatings technologies, and discussing the color and design influences shaping the wood industry.

“Our business is built on listening to our customer’s needs and providing products that exceed them,” says Sarah Skinner, Product Marketing Director WFA, AkzoNobel Wood Coatings. “Our team at booth #C1562 is looking forward to chatting to customers old and new, building relationships and presenting our latest product innovations.”

Products that push boundaries

Among the new products on display will be Selva Pro 2k polyurethane and acrylic systems from Chemcraft wood coatings, the new standard in readily available, high-performance coatings.

Selva Pro coatings combine Italian heritage to offer a choice of proven, high-performance clear and pigmented 2k polyurethane and acrylic systems that outshine related products and slot right into existing process lines.

The team will also be previewing ArmorLux LVT, the industry-first topcoat series with enhanced processing stability for long-run LVT flooring production, as well as the new NDuraSilk 1k waterborne coating system for OEM cabinet production, both from AkzoNobel Wood Coatings.

The NDuraSilk 1k WB system combines the high-performance of a 2k solvent borne coating with the benefits of a convenient 1k waterborne system, enabling manufacturers to reduce processing times and increase productivity. Similarly, the ArmorLux LVT series is designed to keep production lines running with a first-of-its-kind topcoat that delivers enhanced processing stability and a world-class finish, increasing efficiency while saving costs and resources.

Computerized color matching

In addition to showcasing the latest product innovations, Elizabeth Cates from AkzoNobel’s R&D team will present “The World of Computerized Color Matching – Is It Right for Me and My Business?” on Thursday, August 8th at 10am in the Educational Center. During this 1.5-hour session, Elizabeth will cover essential color topics, including the pros and cons of computerized color matching, the available equipment and technologies, and which businesses can benefit most. She will also be available to answer audience questions.

Visitors can also meet a team of experts from AkzoNobel Wood Coatings and Chemcraft at the booth, ready to answer questions about high-precision spray techniques, 1k waterborne coatings, Selva Pro systems, and ArmorLux LVT.

“Our aim is to inspire our customers with exciting and innovative wood coatings that tap into the latest design trends and reflect the way we live today,” says Sarah Skinner, Product Marketing Director WFA, AkzoNobel Wood Coatings. “Showing how we can help our customers with high quality, higher performance products that meet their needs and deliver a contemporary and personal aesthetic is a key part of the process.” Sarah added further.

In addition, there will be live demonstrations of AkzoNobel’s MaestroHue software, which offers distributors a powerful system for producing consistent colors quickly and easily with the ultimate in color match accuracy.
