Completed in 2025, the residential tower “The Crown,” situated along the Elbe beside the Elbphilharmonie, features 75 luxury apartments and two penthouses. For the interior concepts Pure, Coco and Silk, Armin Panahi and Randi Mara Schumacher of PASCH Design selected Decorative Boards, PerfectSense Lacquered Boards and ABS Edging from EGGER. Chosen for their visual appeal, tactile quality and versatility, these materials define the colour palettes and finishes across kitchens, bathrooms and living spaces, resulting in elegant, durable interiors with clean lines and exceptional comfort.

The Pure design concept embodies a calm and understated aesthetic, characterised by clean lines and a balanced colour palette. Soft taupe, greige and beige shades create a serene atmosphere while enhancing clarity and harmony throughout the space. From the EGGER decor collection, subtle finishes such as U705 ST9 Angora Grey and U201 ST9 Pebble Grey were predominantly selected, complemented by accents of the deeper U748 ST9 Truffle Brown to achieve a refined and cohesive interior look.

By contrast, Coco relies on strong contrasts with golden accents, creating a luxurious and extravagant impression. In the bathroom, the dark, almost black, woodgrain decor H1199 ST12 Black-Brown Thermo Oak echoes the style.

Silk is defined by its linearity. The colour scheme is kept in natural grey tones, complemented by gentle, earthy nuances. From the broad EGGER decor palette, the designer duo opted for H3157 ST12 Vicenza Oak. In the bathroom, the PerfectSense Matt Lacquered MDF in W1000 PM Premium White also acts as a connecting element between wood and stone look.

“We chose products from EGGER because the selected decors persuaded us not only with their appearance but also their feel and, above all, their durability and versatility,” say Randi Schumacher and Armin Panahi in unison.

Sustainability at the heart of EGGER

Sustainable business conduct is at the core of their corporate DNA. And this has been the case ever since 1961, because even back then, wood was far too valuable for the company founder Fritz Egger Sr. to simply throw it away. EGGER laid the foundation by processing wood waste into high-quality new products.

They embrace sustainable business practices in all their aspects and take equal responsibility for economic, ecological and social issues. EGGER is guided by clear, transparent facts and their desire to constantly improve – at all locations of their international corporate group.
