In the furniture and interior design segment, EGGER displayed their product, decor, and surface innovations under the theme “Inspire. Grow. Create.” from May 20 to 23, 2025, at interzum Cologne, Germany. A lot of people from all around the world came to see the wood-based material manufacturer’s 800 m² display stand. As a forward-thinking source of ideas in the industry, EGGER once again raised the bar with its trade show display at this year’s interzum.

The manufacturer of wood-based materials focused their décor and texture advancements on design, materiality, and authenticity. The inventiveness and dedication to sustainable products of EGGER were demonstrated in their trade show presentation. “With an impressive exhibition stand concept and our new products, we succeeded in inspiring the international trade fair audience,” reports a delighted Michael EGGER, Jun., Chief Sales Officer EGGER Group.

The wood-based material maker introduced EGGER TrendCast, a novel form of decor consultancy, in the service innovations sector. Virtual rooms, actual samples, and stunning design worlds combine to offer a one-of-a-kind service experience. This immersive experience has already won the interzum Award 2025 for “High Product Quality” and is revolutionizing decor consultancy.  ST35 Feelwood Canyon and Bookmatch Oak, which have the unique property of a repeatless presentation over a full half format, were especially well-liked in the field of new decors and textures. The Red Dot Award 2025 for “High Design Quality” and the interzum Award 2025 for “High Product Quality” were given to both.

Rethinking décor advice with EGGER TrendCast

With the creation of EGGER TrendCast, the maker of wood-based materials connects technology and design by enabling the visualisation of design concepts and trends in virtual environments. TrendCast offers a unique decor consultation where clients may fully immerse themselves in the fine details of the various decors and textures, whereas traditional customer presentations frequently just display tiny hand samples. “The opportunity to hold a real sample in your hand and at the same time experience its effect on a large scale and in different scenarios creates an unprecedented depth in decor consulting,” says Matthias Wombacher from Decor and Design Management at EGGER. He adds: “The EGGER TrendCast stands out due to its unique ability to directly visualise trends and design concepts and bring them to life in a realistic way. This allows us to offer our customers a completely new service experience that goes far beyond traditional presentations.”

Visitors were given a one-of-a-kind experience at interzum Cologne 2025 when EGGER TrendCast was displayed on a striking six-meter-wide, curved LED wall. Thus, the manufacturer of wood-based materials once again showed how cutting-edge services and digital technology are successfully boosting the industry’s creative potential.

PerfectSense® Ambiance: Partial gloss effects combined with exclusive elegance

EGGER is adding intriguing stone effects that blend matte and glossy regions to its PerfectSense product line with PerfectSense Ambiance. A synchronised appearance and a distinctive experience through look and feel are produced by the flawless synchronisation of the partial gloss effects with the underlying décor picture of the stone reproductions. “PerfectSense Ambiance is the answer to the desire for elegant, expressive stone effects that are both hard-wearing and easy to clean. Thanks to their anti-fingerprint properties and synchronised look and feel, the surfaces are not only aesthetically pleasing, but also ideal for high-quality kitchens, home furniture, and shop and exhibition stand construction,” describes Hubert Höglauer, Head of Marketing and Product Management for Furniture and Interior Design at the EGGER Group.

ST35 Feelwood® Canyon: a deep, realistic wood effect

EGGER is carrying on the success of synchronised pore surfaces with the launch of the ST35 Feelwood Canyon texture. The technology makes the pores look more matte and realistic while allowing for even deeper embossing and a more intense tactile feel. Klaus Monhoff focuses: “With the new ST35 Feelwood Canyon texture, we are bringing the authenticity of solid wood even closer to industrial production – both visually and to the touch.” H3377 ST35 Natural Rocher Oak, H3379 ST35 Brown Rocher Oak, and H3380 ST35 Maroon Rocher Oak are carefully designed decors that provide furniture a robust feel and a convincingly natural wood appearance.

More uniqueness on a big surface area using a repeatless half format

EGGER’s revolutionary repeat-less half format is establishing new benchmarks for large-area applications’ replication of natural wood appearances. “We aimed to make the unique aesthetics of real veneer replicable on an industrial scale – with the flexibility and quality that characterise our products,” notes Monhoff. By covering a 3000 mm grain pattern, the decor image’s creative structure guarantees that the same decor image is only reproduced roughly every 17th board. The new, very matt ST17 Omnipore oiled surface is combined with it to achieve an authentic look that is very similar to oiled genuine wood.

Design and responsibility come together in this visionary exhibition stand concept

EGGER made a powerful statement in support of creativity and innovation with the new concept for their show stand. An architectural highlight, the show stand had a studio feel and an open, welcoming approach. “With a construction made of finger-jointed studwork timber, we are sending a clear signal for sustainable trade fair construction. For us, ‘More from wood’ does not only apply on paper, but in every detail,” exclaims Höglauer.
