Dubai Design Week 2025, the landmark event for global design and creativity, is set to present an exceptional lineup of woodworking and luxury design exhibitions. Featuring renowned brands like Draga & Aurel, Giorgetti, Illulian, and VENINI, this year’s edition celebrates the seamless fusion of traditional craftsmanship with modern innovation, offering a tribute to the timeless artistry of woodworking and luxury design.
Making their debut at Downtown Design in Dubai, Draga & Aurel partner with Collectional to showcase a unique installation that embodies the spirit of craftsmanship. The installation explores the innovative interplay of resin and concrete in their Transparency Matters series, alongside their reimagined take on vintage furniture in Heritage. This exhibition underscores their philosophy of balancing traditional woodworking techniques with future-forward design concepts.
Returning for the third consecutive year to Downtown Design Dubai, VENINI presents Amber Mirage, a captivating lighting installation inspired by the shifting sands of the desert. The exhibit highlights the expressive power of Murano glass and light, with new modular lighting collections Volcano and Murea. These pieces, which blend refined forms with warm amber tones, represent an evolution of design, reinforcing VENINI’s commitment to craftsmanship and luxury in the woodworking and design sectors.
Renowned Milan-based luxury rug maker, Illulian, introduces their latest collaboration with artist Jessica Moritz — the Quantum Dance collection. This series of hand-knotted rugs, made from Himalayan wool and natural silk, transforms the traditional art of rug-making into living surfaces. The collection, displayed at Downtown Design Dubai, highlights Illulian’s dedication to exceptional craftsmanship, incorporating both artistic innovation and sustainable materials into each piece.
In an exciting convergence of woodworking craftsmanship and automotive excellence, Giorgetti presents the exclusive Giorgetti Maserati Edition collection, displayed alongside the Grecale Maserati Giorgetti Edition car at the Al Tayer Motors Maserati showroom. This collaboration fuses the high-performance Italian car brand with Giorgetti’s refined woodworking, showcasing an exquisite collection of furniture designed to embody the essence of Italian luxury. This debut in Dubai signifies the growing importance of the region in the international luxury market, with Giorgetti planning to open its first monobrand store in Dubai in 2026.
