DREMA begins with a positive note

DREMA 1The first day of DREMA International Fair of Machines and Tools for the Wood and Furniture Industry has ended. It was filled with many impressions, which provided both business meetings and prepared attractions – Parkett Zone, Zone of Knowledge and this year’s news –

 

More than 100 representatives from the furniture industry took part in the 2nd National Furniture Congress, which took place on September 13, 2017 at Drema, Furnica and Sofab. In the climate of the fairgrounds of Iglica the participants of the meeting sought answers to the question “How to become number one in Europe?”

 

A number of places during the discussion were devoted to innovation in the furniture industry, especially in the field of robotic work. P 4.0. In the furniture industry, it is not only an intellectual, automatic production or transport handling, but also “smart furniture” – furniture that allows to easily change the arrangement of space and combine many different functions. This is a global trend that in the coming years will certainly influence the Polish furniture market.

 

About the future of the Polish furniture industry and support for homegrown producers, says Dr. Krzysztof Senger, Vice President of the Polish Agency for Investment and Trade .

 

There was also a keynote speech by the chairman of the management board of Schattdecor Miroslaw Wolski on process management. The revolutionary solutions used for 1.5 years in the factory of this company in Tarnów Podgorne bring tangible, measurable results. Their basic premise is a change in the position management system of an employee who becomes the active manager responsible for the design of the position and the work process.

 

Grzegorz Błażewicz of SALESManago drew attention to the advantages of e commerce as a means for innovative customer contact. The future of the furniture industry is online trading, which has a very high growth dynamics. Although the selection and evaluation of available products will continue to be mainly real (eg in showrooms), more and more transactions will be made online, in an environment that allows for easy comparison of prices and the selection of the best offer.

 

Another speaker, Vice-President of the Polish Agency for Investment and Trade Krzysztof Senger , discussed possible models of foreign expansion (from promotion, through investments to possible acquisitions). Congress closed the lecture by Jerzy Osiki from Promedia: How in the furniture industry to use fashion for health?

 

The organizers of the congress were the Polish Chamber of Commerce of Furniture Manufacturers, the Institute for Market Research, Consumption and Convictions and the Poznań International Fair.

 

The strategic partners are: SCHATTDECOR, STAUFEN, Polish Investment and Trade Agency and KPMG.
