DOMOTEX unveils the artists’ world with Mood Spaces

Mood Spaces at the DOMOTEX 2023 is all set to host 5 designers from all over the world. Their work plays a major role in the trend-setting of contemporary living and its inspirations. Mood Spaces will be located together with the Carpet Design Award Forum in the “Rugs area” in Hall 2.

Holly Becker

Holly Becker is an interior designer, journalist, book author and social media expert. Becker has received numerous honours, including the Readers Choice Award from Myself magazine in 2010. She has four interior design books to her credit in the “Decorate” series, translated into 20 different languages. She also made history by becoming the first “influencer” in Germany to introduce her own line of home furnishings with DEPOT. She was also the first to introduce Gruner & Jahr’s HOLLY home magazine and the HELLO HOLLY podcast.

Studio Besau-Marguerre

Studio Besau-Marguerre is a multifaceted design studio based in Hamburg city central. Perceived for their unique concepts, they have a keen eye for bright colours, daring shapes, and unusual materials and attention to detail. The team’s diverse expertise allows for holistic brand consulting and an integrated concept realisation from a single source. Having won the Interior Innovation Award in 2015, the Karl-Schneider-Preis in 2016, the AIT Insider Award in 2017 and the Iconic Award in 2018, Studio Besau-Marguerre has a long list of prestigious clients, including Thonet, Fürstenberg, Vitra, Artek, and Artek.

Marc Braun

Mark Braun is an industrial designer who creates products for renowned brands like Mono, Nomos Glashütte, Northern, Otto Hutt, and many others. He has won prestigious accolades like the Interior Innovation Award and the German Design Award. Well-known galleries such Saatchi Gallery, S. Bensimon, LibbySell-ers, Helm Rinderknecht, and others have displayed his studio editions. Mark Braun has lectured and taught as a visiting professor at a variety of universities, including HKD Burg Giebichenstein, Halle, and ECAL Lausanne, in addition to his studio-related endeavours.

Peter Fehrentz

An interdisciplinary designer, photographer and stylist, he has worked in close collaboration with companies like More, Luiz, Parador, Alpina and Grüne Erde for several years spanning over various areas of projects. He frequently uses intricate craftsmanship and sensual material handling in his designs.

Sebastian Herkner

The IF Award, the Iconic Award, and the Elle Deco International Design Award are just a few of the honours that Sebastian Herkner has received (EDIDA). Herkner created “Das Haus” as a Guest of Honor at imm cologne in 2016. He has also been named “Designer of the Year” by Maison & Objet for 2019. The most important design prize in Milan, the EDIDA award for Best Designer of the Year, was awarded by Herkner in 2020.
