DOMOTEX asia/CHINAFLOOR 2026 launches buyer club programme ahead of Shanghai Flooring Exhibition

DOMOTEX asia/CHINAFLOOR 2026 has opened applications for its exclusive Buyer Club programme ahead of its return to Shanghai from 27–29 May 2026. The exhibition will mark its 28th edition. It is recognised as the largest dedicated international carpet and flooring exhibition in Asia.

The event has long served as a strategic meeting point for global manufacturers, distributors and specifiers seeking access to Asia’s expanding flooring markets. The 2026 edition is expected to reinforce that position. Strong international participation is anticipated.

At the centre of its global outreach strategy sits the Buyer Club programme. It has been designed for qualified importers, distributors, agents and retailers with confirmed purchasing budgets and decision-making authority. The objective is clear. Efficient sourcing. Structured networking. Measurable results.

Through curated business matching and tailored engagement activities, meaningful connections between suppliers and buyers are facilitated. High-level meetings are arranged in advance. Time on site is optimised. Commercial value is prioritised.

In 2025, more than 180 selected buyers from 25 countries were hosted under the programme. Ten official delegations were organised in partnership with Chinese and international trade associations, media organisations and industry bodies. Nearly 400 targeted business matching meetings were conducted. Significant cross-border opportunities were generated.

Approved Buyer Club members are offered dedicated hospitality benefits. Access to tailored networking events is provided. Personalised meeting arrangements are coordinated. Participation is subject to qualification criteria.

The wider exhibition is set to occupy more than 200,000 square metres across seven halls in Shanghai. Around 1,500 exhibitors are expected to participate. Attendance is projected to exceed 80,000 professionals from over 120 countries.

The entire flooring value chain will be represented. Comprehensive sourcing will be enabled under one roof. The scale of the exhibition continues to expand.

Four halls will be dedicated to hard flooring categories. These include wood flooring, laminate, bamboo, resilient flooring and outdoor decking solutions. The diversity of materials reflects evolving market demand. Sustainability and performance remain key drivers.

FLOORTECH Asia will run alongside the product showcases. Advanced raw materials, manufacturing equipment and installation technologies will be highlighted. Production efficiency is being prioritised across the sector. Automation and digitalisation trends are expected to feature prominently.

A strong list of international brands has already been confirmed. Among them are Coretec, Kronospan, Swiss Krono, ter Hürne, Välinge, Unilin Technologies, i4F and Bona. Technology specialists such as Adesiv and Stauf will also exhibit.

Leading Chinese manufacturers and innovators will take centre stage. Companies including Power Dekor, Novalis, Dajulong, Elegant, Halead and Zhengyoung are scheduled to present their latest developments. Domestic production capacity continues to expand. Export competitiveness is strengthening.

Mr Jiang Bao, General Manager of the New Material Department at Power Dekor, confirmed that the company will present its overseas brand, POWER SPACE, at the 2026 exhibition. Eight major product categories will be showcased. These will include homogeneous PVC flooring, composite PVC flooring, SPC and LVT flooring, wall panels, wood flooring, sports vinyl flooring and sports wooden flooring.

He noted that the exhibition offers valuable opportunities for in-depth engagement with overseas buyers. Direct dialogue is encouraged. Long-term partnerships are pursued.

Two halls will be allocated to Carpet & Carpet Tech. The full carpet supply chain will be covered. Both machine-made and handmade products will be displayed. Traditional craftsmanship will sit alongside industrial-scale manufacturing.

Confirmed carpet brands include Abrishami Carpet, Almas, Elite, Dongsheng, Haima, Hong Casa, Jey Key Rugs, Mahesh Exports, Mortazavi, Nirmal, Paulig, Ragolle, Ruixin, Standard Carpets, Solomon Carpets and Xingyue Carpet. Product diversity will be evident. International design influences are expected to feature strongly.

On the machinery side, leading component and technology specialists such as Card-Monroe Corp, Freudenberg, Groz-Beckert, Lingda, Michishita, Vandewiele and Wuding will present advanced carpet production systems. Technical innovation is being accelerated. Efficiency gains are being targeted.

Mr Song Zhang, General Manager of the Overseas Business Division at Haima Carpet, confirmed that the company will introduce a new nylon raw filament Axminster carpet at the exhibition. The product has been developed specifically for commercial interior applications. International buyers have been invited to attend.

Asia continues to function as both a major production base and a growing consumption hub for flooring products. Global supply chains are evolving. Regional trade flows are shifting. Strategic sourcing decisions are increasingly influenced by resilience and cost efficiency.

DOMOTEX asia/CHINAFLOOR 2026 is expected to play a central role in shaping these developments. Industry dialogue will be encouraged. Product launches will be staged. Cross-border trade will be facilitated.

As preparation intensifies for May 2026, the exhibition is being positioned not only as a large-scale marketplace, but also as a platform for innovation and sector leadership. International collaboration will be strengthened. New commercial pathways are likely to emerge.
