DOMOTEX asia/CHINAFLOOR, the world’s largest event dedicated to the flooring industry, will return from May 26 to 28, 2025, in Shanghai. As part of the “Build Asia Mega Show,” this year’s exhibition will bring together co-located shows and activities, fostering collaboration across the construction, building materials, and interior design sectors.
Following a successful 2024 edition, which saw a record attendance of 83,850 visitors from 117 countries, the 2025 show is poised to solidify its status as the premier global platform for the flooring industry. The event continues to attract a growing international audience, particularly from South and Southeast Asia, reinforcing its position as a key gathering for businesses across Asia and beyond.
China’s Flooring Market Growth
China remains a dominant force in Asia’s flooring markets, with consumer confidence gradually recovering thanks to targeted government incentives. Aida Cuko, International Business Director at Globus Events, co-organizer of the event alongside Deutsche Messe, emphasized the importance of providing a robust trading platform for industry players. “Despite current challenges, China’s incentive policies are driving consumer demand, and we remain committed to supporting businesses as they explore new opportunities and stay updated on industry trends,” said Cuko.
Exhibitors Line Up for 2025
Major industry players have already confirmed their participation for 2025, signaling their confidence in the show and the markets it represents. Leading companies such as CFL, Daejin, HMTX (Eletile), ExxonMobil Chemical, Freudenberg, Haima, Huali, i4F, KDF, Novalis, Swiss Krono, Unilin Technologies, and more will be showcasing their latest products and innovations. Early bird registration with preferred rates is available until November 8, 2024.
“More than Flooring”: Expanding the Show’s Offerings
The 2025 edition, themed “More than Flooring,” will go beyond traditional flooring products, covering the entire spectrum of the industry. Innovative products and cutting-edge technologies will be on display, including materials for ceilings, walls, doors, and cabinets. DOMOTEX asia/CHINAFLOOR will again collaborate with key events like R+T Asia, the leading exhibition for sun shading systems and doors, and cadex, a hub for design and architecture networking and business opportunities.
Record Success in 2024
The 2024 edition of DOMOTEX asia/CHINAFLOOR saw over 1,600 companies and brands exhibiting across 230,000 square meters of space. With a 25% increase in international visitors compared to the previous year, the event attracted 17,923 overseas attendees, surpassing its previous records. This growth highlights the global relevance and appeal of the event.

China’s Incentives to Boost Flooring and Building Materials
In a bid to stimulate consumer demand, China’s State Council introduced an action plan in March 2024 aimed at upgrading consumer goods through trade-in programs. This initiative has already translated into targeted subsidies for flooring and building materials, benefitting companies in the sector. Cities like Shanghai are offering up to 20% subsidies for the purchase of flooring, doors, and other home improvement materials, while provinces like Zhejiang and Jiangsu are also providing substantial incentives for renovation and green building materials.
This comprehensive approach is expected to boost consumption and stimulate demand for flooring products, contributing to the overall growth of the flooring and building materials industry in China.
