East Westphalia is set to host another prominent trade fair for the furniture industry. In March 2026, MIKO Connect – Furniture & Interior Components East Westphalia will make its debut. This exclusive networking event will take place on March 11 and 12, 2026, at Bielefeld City Hall, located in the heart of Germany’s furniture industry. Hymmen will participate as an exhibitor and will present its smart2i Industry Intelligence solution.
The focus is on intensive exchange with trade visitors about production technologies and industry intelligence solutions for furniture manufacturers offered by Hymmen and smart2i:
High-gloss and super-matt furniture fronts remain highly popular, and Hymmen has successfully positioned its Calender Coating Inert (CCI) process on the market for their production. Convinced users include companies such as Egger and Wren Kitchens.
Lacquering, laminating, and pressing systems are essential in producing back panels, kitchen countertops, and furniture panels. Digital structuring through Digital Lacquer Embossing (DLEplus), already proven on a large scale in the flooring industry, introduces entirely new design possibilities for the furniture sector.
In addition to experts in Hymmen production technologies, you will also meet members of the smart2i team at the trade fair stand. smart2i is an innovative industry intelligence solution that can help you achieve significant increases in production efficiency and quality in a straightforward manner. On the lecture stage, Benjamin Sadler, COO of smart2i, will talk about our customers’ practical experiences with smart2i Industry Intelligence solution on March 11 at 1:00 p.m. under the motto “Goodbye gut feeling! How data saves money.”
The MIKO Connect event provides a distinctive combination of focused networking, insightful knowledge exchange, and a premium exhibition tailored for key players in the furniture supply chain. With plans for a biennial schedule, the event is set to establish itself as a key fixture in the industry calendar.
