Deputy prime minister Antonio Tajani visits the SCM Group

Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani , accompanied by the Minister of University and Research Anna Maria Bernini , visited Scm Group, world leader in technologies for processing wood and a vast range of materials. They were welcomed by board of directors and the general management of the group.

At the meeting with the press, the president of Scm Group Andrea Aureli greeted the authorities and institutions present, underlining how the delegations of the two ministers are strongly in line with the company’s vocation both for exports and for research and training. In 2023, despite the critical issues of the global macroeconomic context, Scm Group reached 900 million in turnover “with an export share of 90%, mainly in Europe and the United States”. International vocation also confirmed by the “continuous opening of foreign commercial offices, the most recent in South-East Asia and the Balkans”. Investments that are added to those in innovation and training, with 70 thousand hours of training dedicated to the group’s collaborators and customers in 2023 alone. “Today’s visit – concluded Aureli – is also an opportunity for Scm Group and this area because it turns the spotlight on a company that wants to be increasingly attractive also in the job market and which is continuously looking for highly qualified professional figures. specialized”.

Deputy Prime Minister Antonio Tajani highlighted that the visit to Scm Group is “recognition of an extraordinary entrepreneurial reality that has always been committed to internationalization” . Tajani added that exports, growing in Italy despite the well-known critical issues in some foreign scenarios, represent a priority for the government and underlined the importance of “exploring new markets in addition to those already consolidated for Made in Italy exports ”.
