The latest addition from Compass Software, successfully simplifies data transferring process, reduces downtime, accelerates design performance through different interfaces. Recently at the trade show, the Software developer further introduced another innovation the transfer of staircase constructions to other software easy and fast by offering various interfaces, e.g.XML, OBJ, IFC and DXF.

XML import from measurement systems

This fully integrated XML interface makes it possible to import data from external laser measurement systems into Compass software. The interface is perfect for importing XML data for  concrete cores, existing stairs, room information such as walls, windows, doors, wall openings, cable ducts, etc.

Due to the long-standing cooperation with the Flexijet company, the transfer from the Flexijet measuring system is fully integrated and particularly easy.

The extension XML import for in-situ concrete plus offers in addition to the normal functions:

Interface OBJ

Stairs in OBJ format can be exported for various uses:

IFC and 3D DXF export for external software

With Compass Software stairs can be exported in IFC and 3D DXF format. The IFC and 3D DXF formats are usually used for representations in so-called BIM (Building Design and Building Information Modelling) software: Stairs can be inserted into the BIM model by exporting them as 3D drawings.
